Ultimate Blog Planner Review

As we slipped into 2017, I made a bit of a deal with myself. I’d reached a point with this blog where I either needed to dedicate a bit more time and effort into making it worth the amount of time I was putting in, or give up.

And I didn’t really want to give up. I joined loads of groups for more blogger support – how I’d not joined these communities before I really don’t know, and they’re proving to be absolute godsends – and told Hubby, much to his dismay, that I needed a dedicated Blogging Notebook for jotting down ideas and making sure I get all the stuff done that needs to get done.

Ultimate Weight Loss Hypnosis – Week 2

Ultimate Weight Loss Hypnosis Review – Week 2

So this week’s Ultimate Weight Loss Hypnosis sessions were about Mental Detoxing. This post has taken a bit longer to compile for a few reasons.

If I’m honest, I’m struggling to find the time to get the set number of sessions in, as well as remembering to fill in my food diary. This session is shorter, and I certainly found that I relaxed a lot quicker once I started it, but I think having a lot going on in my life at the moment has made it tricky to stick to. My son starts nursery in a fortnight so hopefully I’ll be able to dedicate some time in the day then to listen to the sessions – I’m unsure if I’m genuinely falling asleep before the end of the recordings as I only get chance to listen to them at about 9pm. And when your kid is up at 6am, 9pm is definitely bedtime!

Kidloland Kids App | Review

Kids and tech is always going to be a contentious issue. Personally, I think we’re heading into a world where technology is going to be moving so quickly, and so essential to our existence, that learning how to use things like tablets and computers from a young age is only going to be beneficial later in life. It’s mad to think that when I was X’s age we only had 4 TV channels, and now look at all the information and entertainment he has available at his finger tips!

Potette Plus Potty | Review

Potette Plus Potty | Review

Over the years I’ve bought a lot of baby and toddler related things that seemed like a fab idea at the time, then turned out to be damp squibs. Special bowls and spoons for taking out and about when weaning quickly got dumped in the back of the cupboard replaced by cheaper alternatives, buggy toys got ignored, bulky changing bags got left at home when toddler backpacks took over.

But a few weeks ago, when X decided he wanted to stop wearing nappies (at last!) I had a panic – what were we going to do when we had to go out?! I don’t drive, so I don’t have the luxury of lugging his potty everywhere with us. That’s when I was recommended the Potette Plus Potty – a fold up potty.

Austenland | Book Of The Month

3rd February 2017

Austenland

I have sort of made a deal with myself to try to finish one book a month. It’s not always that easy when you’ve a million other things to do – make the house look like less of a building site, knitting, blogging, writing, ensuring the survival of a fearless toddler, learning French… the list goes on. But I miss reading. A lot.

January I bought a book, probably much to my husband’s dismay. We’ve got 4 whole boxes of books still unpacked from the move. In my defence, I have now filled another box with books destined for the charity shop, which is a big move for me. Books are precious!

I bought “Austenland” by Shannon Hale. Purely because I watched the film (with Keri Russell, JJ Feild and James Callis) on Netflix when X was asleep one day and utterly fell in love with it (watch it… seriously… it’s hilarious!)
