Heading For A Positive 2018 with Photowall

2017 has been an interesting year in this house! We moved into our new house here in Northampton almost exactly a year ago, and seem to have been playing catch up with the house ever since!

When the amazing folks over at Photowall got in touch and asked if we’d like to jazz up our bare walls with one of their canvases, who was I to say no?!

This last year has seen us make some serious life changes, not least of all moving from Birmingham to start off our new life here in Northampton, but the overwhelming feeling is that the last 365 days have been stressful fun! When I saw this print by Michael Mullan on Photowall’s site, I knew that it was meant to be for our kitchen-diner.

Ordering on the site was super easy – and they do so much stuff! I must have spent a good hour pouring through all the beautiful wall murals and canvases they offer. You can even have them print your own work. AND it’s free delivery with DHL all the way from Sweden!

Photowall Canvas

The canvas arrived in really good time, and I couldn’t wait to get it up on the wall.

The frame is a DIY job, but not a tricky one. It was easy with two of us and a nice big floor space to work on. It’s simply a case of using the 3M tape to stick the frame to the canvas and then turning the frame edges together to make the fabric pull tight. There’s no need for any tools either (much to Hubby’s dismay!), although he did get to get his drill out when it came to hanging it up! X couldn’t wait to help with the thumb screws to keep the frame together.

It’s super simple to hang on the wall – just a small metal bracket which was easy to put up with a couple of screws, and then the frame hangs from that. Easy.

And it looks BEAUTIFUL. Before we moved in, we ripped out and refitted the kitchen, and it’s always been my favourite room in the house – now even more so!
